Even as the design and development phase is underway, the most reliable and economic manufacturing process is being defined. Manufacturing is regarded not just as a process phase but is an integral part of the innovation cycle.

In line with the tradition of Swiss manufacturing quality, we not only invest in the latest machinery but, above all, in refining the competence and skills of our staff. We thus ensure that every single machine in our park is operated with maximum skill and ability. Moreover, this serves to increase our knowledge regarding the design and optimization of the production processes.

Hard Facts – Quality Machinery

To Ypsomed quality not only means securing knowledge and polishing our skills. Quality also means the highest degree of precision and top quality in production plant and machines. This competence is built on an in-house tool shop and strategic collaboration with leading tool makers. Our two production centres in Switzerland contain over 100 injection moulding cells and necessary handling equipment. Fully automated machine groups ensure efficient assembly of the hundreds of millions of components that we manufacture every year. These are complemented by printing machines, hand assembly lines and over 350 larger and smaller plastic injection moulding tools.
