The core areas of innovation at Ypsomed are clustered in our Technology division in which over 140 engineers and specialists do their work. Focusing the innovative power in one division enables the development and design of the injection device and the development of the manufacturing processes to be coordinated synchronously. The main benefit is a reduction in the number of loops during industrialisation. Projects and products are brought faster to our customers and to where they are needed: to the patients who rely on them.

Intellectual Property – Comprehensive Protection

Innovation alone is no guarantee of success. By safeguarding the intellectual capital in the form of patent protection we provide our customers with the unique solution they require to ensure a clear differentiation from competitors. We hold over 250 patent families with granted patents and patent applications in key countries for pen systems, auto-injectors and pen needles. Besides actively protecting our innovations, Ypsomed constantly monitors the patent environment to ensure that our Platform Concepts do not infringe third party patents.
